Occupancy Report Overview

When it comes to occupancy rates, the following three variables are important:

  • number of ad plays filled by advertisers
  • number of ad plays filled by board owners
  • total number of available ad plays

On this report, you can view the following three occupancy rate types:

  • Total occupancy = [number of ad plays filled / number of total available ad plays across all boards]
  • Your occupancy =  [number of ad plays filled / number of available ad plays across all boards managed by you]
  • Advertiser occupancy =  [number of ad plays filled / number of available ad plays across all boards managed by advertisers]

  2. Ad plays on all billboards: This percentage is calculated by dividing the total number of filled ad plays by the total number of available ad plays across all boards.

In the case shown below, 19,740 ad plays out of the 46,080 total available ad plays across all boards were filled, resulting in a 43% occupancy rate.
Calculation: 19,740/46,080= 43%Spots on all billboards
  3. Your ad plays: This percentage is calculated by dividing the total number of filled board owner ad plays by the total number of available board owner ad plays.

In the case shown below, 7,200 ad plays out of the 8,640 available ad plays managed by the board owner were filled, resulting in an 83% occupancy rate.
    Calculation: 7,200/8,640= 83%          Your Spots
  4. Advertiser ad plays: This percentage is calculated by dividing the total number of filled advertiser ad plays by the total number of available advertiser ad plays.

In the case shown below, 12,540 ad plays out of the 37,440 available ad plays managed by advertisers were filled, resulting in a 34% occupancy rate.
    Calculation: 12,540/37,440= 34%   Advertiser Spots
  5. Total Occupancy: This percentage is calculated by dividing the total number of filled ad plays by the total number of available ad plays.

The below board example shows a 50% total occupancy rate.
Calculation: 5,760(filled ad plays)/ 11,520(number of total available ad plays) = 50%. Total Occupancy
  6. Your Occupancy: This percentage is calculated by dividing the total number of filled ad plays by the total number of available board owner ad plays.

The first board in the example below shows a 67% occupancy rate across the three slots managed by the board owner.
    Calculation: 2,880(filled ad plays)/ 4,320(number of ad plays) = 67%. Your Occupancy
  7. Advertiser Occupancy: This percentage is calculated by dividing the total number of filled ad plays by the total number of available advertiser ad plays.
