BACKGROUND
Bland Company was buying out-of-home billboard advertising directly from individual billboard companies throughout Central California. They had to plan and buy the ad space for at least three months at a time as well as several months in advance. This limited the company’s ability to change their messaging or to add more billboards to their media buy without enough lead time. All of their marketing planning and strategy had to be complete up to six months in advance to ensure their preferred billboards were available and their messaging was relevant at the time the ads ran.
