How can I resize my content?

Transcript

Hello, I’m Jessica, a senior client success manager at AdOmni, and today we’re going to go over how to resize images in your account, translate static images into video content, and create mockups in your account as well.

To start, we’re going to open up a campaign that you’re looking to add creative into and possibly need some other sizes made as well. Once your campaign is ready to launch, we’ll add content so we can go live with actual creative. In the Ad Content tab, if you select Bulk Assign Ads, you’ll be able to upload your creative directly to this campaign. If you don’t have anything located in your content library, select the Upload button and you can either drag and drop from your computer or select files to upload. Once you’ve selected the creatives you’d like to upload, hit Open and Upload. It may take a moment for them to load into the campaign. As you can see, the sizes that perfectly match what’s needed in the account will show up in the campaign, and there may be some sizes with the same aspect ratio that we simply need to resize, or cases where we need to convert something into a video using creative we already have in the campaign.

Let’s start by taking a creative with the same or very similar aspect ratio and translating it to a different required size. For example, we have a 0.56 aspect ratio creative that matches our 1080×1920, and we need to move it to 264×468. Under the Actions button for that creative, select Resize. You’ll see the sizes needed in the campaign—select the missing size and choose how you’d like to resize it. If it’s the same aspect ratio, this is straightforward, but if you’re resizing to a different aspect ratio, you also have the option to crop it with letterboxing (black bars) or use Generative Fill (our AI tool) to expand the background to fit the needed dimensions. For this example, we’ll select Generative Fill and hit Generate Sizes. Once resized, you can scroll down and see the creative now available in the missing size. Another useful approach is selecting the closest aspect ratio asset to the missing size and testing if Generative Fill produces an acceptable result—this can save your creative team time. For example, you can resize 1920×1080 to 1024×768 using Actions → Resize → Generative Fill, then click into the creative to review if it meets your standards.

Next, you can take a static image and loop it into a video with the click of a button. Some placements may require a 15-second video format even if you already have the correct size as a static. To do this inside the campaign, go to Bulk Assign Ads, hover over the static creative (for example, a 1080×1920 image), click the three dots, select Convert to Video, enter the duration needed (like 15 seconds), and click Convert. It may take a moment to appear, so you can click out and back in to refresh. Once it shows up as a video with the needed size and duration, you can add it to the campaign, and it will fill the previously empty slot. You can repeat the same process for another size like 1920×1080. Once complete, you’ll see all creative filled without needing to go back to your content team to create additional sizes. And of course, always remember to save your campaign.

Outside of a campaign, you can also resize creative within the Content Library. Any creative you upload to a campaign or directly to the Content Library will live there and be available to use across campaigns. While you’re in the Content Library, you can select a creative and choose Convert to Video, set the duration you need (for example, 10 seconds), and convert it—then refresh and it will appear as a usable video asset. Lastly, there’s a hidden feature that I like to call our “magic maker”—the Mockup Generator. If you hover over the Content Library and select Mockup Generator, you can generate mockups showing your creative on screens. Add a title (at least three characters), click Generate Mockup, select creatives (we recommend choosing one vertical and one horizontal since venue types vary), pick the venue types you want mockups for (like a digital billboard and an urban panel), and click Generate Mockups. You’ll then see mockups of your creative on those screens. If the aspect ratio isn’t perfect, you may see letterboxing, but many will fit really well. To share, click Get Shareable Link, or click a specific mockup to download the image. For video mockups, you can also download as a GIF, an MP4, or a static image.

That was our quick how-to on all things creative. If you have any questions, please reach out to your client success manager. Thank you so much—have a great day.
